Email help@fretscape.com from the email address on your Fretscape account and ask for a copy of your data. We'll put it together and send it back to you. There's no self-serve export button yet — this is the route for now.

What to put in the email

To save back-and-forth, include:

  • Subject line — "Data request" works.
  • The email address on your Fretscape account — sending the request from that address is the simplest way to confirm it's you.
  • What you'd like — a copy of everything we hold, or just a specific part (your saved progressions, your account details, etc.).

If you want the data in a specific format, tell us — otherwise we'll send a readable file you can open on any device.

What you'll get back

The reply will cover anything tied to your account:

  • Account details (display name, email, sign-in method)
  • Your saved favourites, progressions, and custom tunings
  • Your preferences (notation system, instrument sound, and so on)
  • A summary of any Pro purchases on your account

For the full picture of what's stored, see What data does Fretscape collect?.

How long this takes

We aim to respond within a few business days and to send the data within 30 days, in line with GDPR timelines. If we need more time we'll let you know why.

A note on payment records

Card details and full purchase records sit with the payment service you used — Stripe on the web, Google Play on Android. We don't store your card number ourselves, so payment receipts have to come from them directly. See How is my payment information stored? for how to get a copy of your receipts from each service.

Other rights

A data copy is one of several rights you have. For correction, deletion, opting out of analytics, or asking us to stop using your data in a particular way, see How do I exercise my privacy rights?.
