账户电子邮件故障排查

Email links from Fretscape only work once, and only for a short time after we send them. If the link shows an error when you click it, the fix is almost always to ask for a new one from the same form that sent the original — don't try to reload or re-copy the old link.

Fretscape sends three kinds of email link, and the fix depends on which one you've got:

The link you got after signing up with email and password. If it shows an error or just loads the Sign in page, request a fresh one by signing up again with the same email on the sign-up page — the old account record is harmless and the new email replaces it.

If you don't want to repeat the sign-up, email help@fretscape.com and we'll move you onto Google sign-in or resend manually.

The link you got after submitting the Forgot password form. Reset links expire faster than confirmation links — usually within an hour. If yours doesn't work, just submit the form again to get a fresh link, then click the newest one within a few minutes.

Reset links only work once, so if you opened it already and the page errored, ask for a new one rather than reusing the old link. See I didn't receive my password-reset email if the new link doesn't arrive either.

When you change your email address in Profile Settings, Fretscape sends a confirmation link to both your old and new addresses, and you have to click both for the change to complete. If you signed up or requested a reset on your phone, then opened the email on your laptop (or the other way round), the link sometimes won't finish working. The fix is to open the email on the same device you started on — or just ask for a new link from that device — and you should be fine.

It's there to keep your account safe. Each email link is a short-lived way into your account, so Fretscape only accepts it for a short while and won't accept the same link twice. The right move is always to ask for a new link from the form you started with.

Still not working

Email help@fretscape.com with:

  • Which kind of link you're trying to use (sign-up, reset, or email change)
  • The email address on your account
  • The exact error message you see, if any
