账户登录

Head to the sign-up page and either enter your email and a password, or tap Google to use your Google account. Either route works on the web and in the Android app.

Sign up with email and password

On the sign-up page, type your email address and a password (8 characters or more), then tap Sign Up. Fretscape sends a confirmation email — open it and click the link to finish creating the account.

You'll see a confirmation message on the page: "Check your email for a confirmation link to complete your registration." If the email doesn't arrive, see I didn't receive my confirmation email.

Sign up with Google

Tap the Google button below the form on the sign-up page and pick the Google account you want to use. There's no email confirmation step — you're signed in straight away.

The first time you use Google sign-in on a new device, a browser tab opens to confirm with Google, then you bounce back to Fretscape. On Android this opens your default browser briefly, which is normal. See How to sign in with Google if anything looks off.

What you can use right away

You don't need to pay for anything to start using Fretscape. The Free tier gives you a real working chord tool — search, build, audition voicings, save favourites. The Pro upgrade is optional and unlocks all tunings, custom tunings, the full progression optimiser, and unlimited voicings. For the difference between the tiers, see Is Fretscape free?

Same account everywhere

Whether you start on the web or in the Android app, your account is the same. Sign in with the same email (or Google account) on the other platform and your favourites, saved progressions, and Pro unlock — if you bought it — follow you across.

If you signed up with email on one device and try Google sign-in with the same email address on another, Fretscape treats those as the same account. The trouble starts only if you accidentally use different email addresses — see I bought Pro before signing in, or with a different email if that happens after a purchase.
