移动端浏览器

Fretscape runs in any modern browser on desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. There's also a dedicated Android app for phones and tablets running Android 7.0 (Nougat) or later.

Browsers we support

Any current version of:

  • Chrome (and Chrome-based browsers like Brave and Vivaldi)
  • Safari (macOS, iOS, iPadOS)
  • Firefox
  • Edge

If your browser is on the latest one or two versions, you're fine. Older or niche browsers may work, but we don't actively test against them — if something looks wrong, try the latest Chrome or Safari first.

Desktop and laptop

Any reasonably modern Windows, macOS, Linux, or ChromeOS machine works. The web app is the most spacious experience — the Progression Builder in particular benefits from a bigger screen.

Tablets

iPads and Android tablets both work in the browser. The Android app is also available on tablets running Android 7.0+.

Phones

Fretscape works on phones in two ways:

  • In any modern mobile browser — Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone, etc. Just open fretscape.com.
  • As the Android app from Google Play — requires Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer.

There isn't an iOS app yet, so iPhone users currently use Fretscape through the browser. See Is there an iOS app? for the current status.

What isn't supported

  • Browsers more than a few major versions out of date (very old Internet Explorer, ancient Safari, etc.).
  • Smart TVs, e-ink readers, and other non-standard devices.
  • Offline use — Fretscape needs an internet connection. It doesn't have an offline mode.

If something works in your browser but feels broken, the quickest things to try first: refresh the page, try a different browser, and make sure you're not in private/incognito mode (which can block features that rely on stored preferences). If it still won't behave, email help@fretscape.com and tell us what browser and device you're using.
