Open Profile Settings from the user menu, edit the Email Address field, and tap Save Changes. Fretscape sends a confirmation link to both your old and new addresses — you must click both for the change to take effect.

Make the change

  1. Open the user menu in the top-right corner and choose Profile Settings.
  2. In the Personal Information section, replace the value in the Email Address field with the new address.
  3. Tap Save Changes at the bottom of the modal.

You'll see "Confirmation emails sent — Confirmation links have been sent to both your current and new email addresses. Please confirm both to complete the change."

Confirm both emails

Open the inbox for your old email, find the confirmation message from hello@fretscape.com, and click the link. Then do the same in your new inbox. The change only goes through once you've clicked both links.

We confirm both addresses for your safety — that way, if someone briefly got into one of your inboxes, they couldn't quietly move your account away from you.

Confirmation links are single-use and time-limited. If one of them stops working, the simplest fix is to start the change again from Profile Settings so a fresh pair of emails goes out. See An email link expired or doesn't work for more.

You can't change the email if you signed up with Google

If your account was created with Google sign-in, the email address comes from Google and Fretscape can't change it directly. You've got two options:

  • Change the email on your Google account first. When you sign in to Fretscape again, the new address comes through with it. Nothing on your Fretscape account changes.
  • Sign up for a fresh Fretscape account with the email you want. This is a heavier move — the new account starts from scratch, so your favourites, saved progressions, and any Pro unlock stay on the old account. If you want Pro moved across, email help@fretscape.com before signing up again, and we'll talk it through.

After the change

You stay signed in on the device you made the change from. Use the new address next time you sign in — the old one will stop working once both confirmations are complete.
