Can I create a custom tuning?

Yes. If none of the preset tunings match how you tune your guitar, you can build your own and save it. Custom tunings are a Pro feature.

Build a custom tuning

• Open Settings — tap the cog icon in the floating toolbar at the bottom of the app.
• Next to the Tuning list, tap Custom Tuning.
• Tap New Tuning.
• Give it a name — this is what shows up in your tuning list.
• Optionally pick Start from Preset to load an existing tuning as your starting point, then adjust from there.
• Set the pitch for each string, from String 1 (high) down to String 6 (low). Tap the little play icon next to a string to hear it.
• Tap Save Tuning.

Your saved tuning now appears under Saved Tunings in the editor, and in the main Tuning list alongside the presets. Pick it any time and press Save Changes, just like a preset — see how to change your tuning.

If Custom Tuning is greyed out

On the Free tier the Custom Tuning button is marked Pro and can't be opened — Free includes Standard tuning only. Why can't I select a different tuning? has the full picture.
