Fretscape lets you save four kinds of thing — chords, voicings, chord progressions, and filter presets. Each one has a heart icon somewhere on screen. Tap the heart to save, tap it again to remove.

You need to be signed in to save anything — favourites live with your account, not on the device. If the heart isn't reacting, check that you're signed in first.

Save a chord

Type a chord name or build one with the buttons. The name appears at the top of the results — for example, Am with Minor underneath and the chord's degrees and notes laid out alongside. To the right of that block is a heart. Tap it to save the chord itself.

This saves the chord as a whole, not any particular shape — useful when you want to come back to Am later and pick a voicing on the day.

Save a voicing

Every voicing card in the chord results has a small row of round icons in the corner. The heart is one of them. Tap it to save that exact voicing — the specific shape, fret position, and fingering you're looking at.

If you want a chord saved as a whole AND a specific shape, save both. The chord lives in the Chords tab on your saved items page; the voicing lives in Voicings. See Where do my favourites live? for the full layout.

Save a progression

Open the Progression Builder and add your chords. In the panel's header, alongside the help and close icons, you'll see a heart. Tap it to save the whole progression — the chord order and any voicings you've locked in.

Save a filter preset

Open the Filters panel from the chord results. The three icons at the top of the panel are heart, reset, and close. Tap the heart to save your current filter set — difficulty, fret range, position, allowed string sets, shape, fingering, and the rest. The saved set lands in the Filter Presets tab on your saved items page, ready to apply again later.

Removing a save

The same heart removes the save. Tap it again on the original screen where you saved the item, or tap the heart shown on the item over on the saved items page — either way comes off the list.

If you're new to all this, Where do my favourites live? walks through the saved items page itself, and How many favourites can I save? covers the Free vs Pro limit.
