The confirmation email is usually delivered within a minute, but spam filters, slow email providers, or a typo in your email address are the three things that hold it up. Work through them in order.

Check spam and promotions folders

Search your mailbox for messages from hello@fretscape.com or with the subject "Confirm your signup". Gmail in particular often files emails like this under Promotions or Updates rather than the main inbox.

If you use a strict spam filter (or an email address from work), the message may have been blocked altogether — try a personal email address instead, or add fretscape.com to your safe senders list so future emails get through.

Wait a minute or two

Most email providers deliver within seconds, but a few (especially work and school addresses) hold this kind of email for a couple of minutes. Give it five minutes before assuming it's not coming.

Check the address you typed

Go back to the sign-up page and re-enter your email carefully. A typo (gnail.com, missing letter, wrong domain) is the most common cause of a "missing" email — the message went somewhere, just not to you. There's no resend button on the sign-up page, so signing up again with the correct address is the cleanest fix.

If you genuinely did type the wrong address the first time, the orphan account will sit unconfirmed and won't get in your way. You can ignore it.

Try Google sign-in instead

If your Google account uses the same email address, you can skip the confirmation step entirely. Tap the Google button on the sign-up page and pick that account. That's a different problem — the confirmation link is single-use and expires after a while. See An email link expired or doesn't work.

Still nothing after 15 minutes

Email help@fretscape.com and include:

  • The email address you signed up with
  • The platform you signed up on (web or Android)
  • Roughly what time you signed up
  • Whether you've checked spam and promotions

We can confirm the account from our side and either resend the link or move you onto Google sign-in.
