You need to be signed in to upgrade. Once you are, you can buy Pro from the pricing page or by tapping any Upgrade to Pro prompt inside the app. The flow takes about a minute and Pro unlocks straight away on the device you bought on.
On the web
- Sign in (or create an account) if you haven't already.
- Go to the pricing page or tap Upgrade Pro anywhere you see it inside the app.
- The upgrade screen opens and shows the price for your country.
- Tap Unlock Pro. You'll be sent to Stripe's secure checkout page.
- Enter your payment details (card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay where supported) and confirm.
- You'll be sent back to Fretscape with a confirmation screen.
Pro is active on your account the moment payment goes through. The device you bought on switches over without needing a refresh. Other devices signed into the same account will pick it up the next time they refresh — usually within about ten seconds, up to a minute in the worst case.
On Android
- Open the Fretscape Android app and sign in.
- Tap Upgrade Pro from the user menu or any in-app upgrade prompt.
- The upgrade screen shows the price set by Google Play for your country.
- Tap to buy — the Google Play purchase dialog opens.
- Choose your payment method and confirm.
Pro activates on the Android app immediately. If you're also signed in on the web, refresh the web tab to see the change — see I bought on Android — I can't see Pro on the web if it doesn't appear after a minute.
Buying from the pricing page when not signed in
If you tap Unlock Pro on the pricing page without being signed in, Fretscape sends you to sign in or sign up first, then returns you to the upgrade flow. Your intent to upgrade is remembered through the sign-in.

After upgrading
The device you upgraded on switches to Pro right away. Any other device signed into the same account will switch over the next time it refreshes (usually within about ten seconds, occasionally up to a minute). If you don't see Pro after that, see I paid but I still see Free.
