Конфіденційність

Fretscape uses two kinds of cookies: essential ones that keep the site working, and optional analytics ones that help us see how people use it. You decide whether to allow the analytics ones, and you can change your mind at any time.

The full legal version lives on the Cookie Policy page.

Essential cookies — always on

These keep Fretscape working at a basic level — remembering you're signed in, keeping your language choice, and storing your cookie preference itself. Without them the site can't function properly, so there's no opt-out for these.

Analytics cookies — your choice

If you accept analytics cookies, we use:

  • Google Analytics — to see which features get used and how people move around the app.
  • Microsoft Clarity — to see where people get stuck (anonymised session replays and heatmaps).

Both tools record activity under a random visitor ID — not your email or name. We use what they tell us to fix rough edges and decide what to work on next. We don't use them for advertising or profiling, and we don't sell the data — see Does Fretscape sell my data?.

If you decline, we don't set those cookies and those tools don't track your session.

Changing your mind

The first time you visit Fretscape you'll see a banner asking you to Accept or Decline analytics cookies. To change that choice later, open the Cookie Policy page and use the Reset cookie preferences link. The consent banner reappears so you can choose again.

Cookies vs your account data

Cookies are about how the site behaves in your browser. They're separate from the data tied to your Fretscape account (your saved chords, progressions, and preferences). For that side of things, see What data does Fretscape collect?.
