How do I add or leave a note out of a chord?

Tap any button in the Extensions row. Higher extensions automatically include the lower ones, so adding a 9 also brings in the 7.

Why do two different chord names give me the same shape?
Chord names describe a chord's role, not just its notes - so the same fingering can carry two or four equally valid names, depending on the root.

How do I switch between sharps and flats?
Tap ♯ or ♭ next to the root letters. ♯ raises the root by a semitone, ♭ lowers it. Fretscape uses the simplest spelling for the result.
