What Android version do I need for the Fretscape app?
The Fretscape Android app needs Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer. Older phones can still use Fretscape through any modern mobile browser.

Which browsers work best on mobile?
Chrome on Android and Safari on iPhone or iPad are the best-tested mobile browsers for Fretscape. Most other modern mobile browsers work too, but if something feels off, try one of those first.

Can I use Fretscape in portrait or landscape?
Both work. Most of Fretscape looks the same either way, but a couple of features (reverse chord lookup and the progression builder) reshape themselves for landscape, which usually gives you more room to work.

Rotate your phone to landscape — the progression builder reshapes for a wider screen and the controls move out from under your thumbs. For heavier progression work, a tablet or laptop gives you noticeably more room.

What's a deep link, and why did a link open inside Fretscape?
When the Fretscape app is installed, certain Fretscape links open inside the app instead of your browser. That's a deep link, and it's how Android keeps you in the app you've already chosen to use.
