Most Fretscape purchases complete in a few seconds. If yours is sitting on a "processing" or "pending" screen, the most important thing is don't refresh the page or tap Buy again — wait it out first. A second tap can create a second payment attempt your bank may approve.
What's happening
There's a brief window between tapping pay and Pro switching on. The screen shows processing while we wait for your payment to confirm. That window is usually a few seconds.
Two things can stretch it out:
- Your bank's checks. Some banks add an extra verification step that takes a minute or two.
- The payment service catching up. Occasionally the confirmation takes a moment to reach Fretscape, especially during busy periods.
What to do (and not do)
- Do wait a couple of minutes on the processing screen.
- Do check your email — if the payment went through, you'll see a receipt from Stripe or Google Play.
- Do not tap Buy or Pay again. That can create a second payment attempt.
- Do not refresh or close-and-reopen Fretscape while you're staring at a processing indicator. Let it finish.
If it's been more than 5 minutes
At that point something is likely stuck. Check your email first — if you have a receipt but Pro hasn't unlocked, that's the situation in I paid but I still see Free.
If you have no receipt and no Pro after 5 minutes, the payment likely didn't go through. Most banks will release any hold automatically within a few days if no charge actually settled. You can try again at that point.
If you're worried you double-paid
See I was charged twice or I see two payments. Often the second "charge" is a temporary hold that the bank releases — it isn't an actual double payment.
Still stuck
Email help@fretscape.com and include:
- The email on your Fretscape account
- Where you bought (web or Android)
- Roughly when you started the purchase
- What you're seeing on screen
- Any receipt or order ID you've got
We'll check from our side and let you know whether the payment actually went through.
